Giclee Prints
WGS Productions offers Giclee prints of original artwork, some derived from original paintings or prints that have been digitally scanned, others from original photographs, and some from the digital files of original computer graphic works.  We use Digital Color Imaging, Inc. in Akron, Ohio to produce these prints, based on their years of experience in the printing business.

The term "Giclee" originated in 1991 with Jack Duganne who coined the term to refer to fine art prints created with digital output.  It's derivation comes from the word "gicleur" the French word for nozzle,  and "gicler" is the French verb "to spray."  The main intention of the word Giclee was to distinguish "fine art prints" from those created for non-art or commercial purposes.  The term Giclee has today evolved into a broader term describing a high quality digital print made by an experienced printmaker.  Only those printmakers with experience in this craft and an eye for the quality of workmanship required to produce a beautiful print can claim to be true digital printmaker.
